The Deering Estate presents Tension in 3 Dimensions, an exhibit of gravity-defying works and lines in space, curated by artist Ryan Roa, featuring the work of eight notable contemporary artists interacting with and inspired by the Deering Estate historic houses and grounds.

The exhibition opening event is on Saturday, April 13, 4 to 10 p.m. and is free and open to the public. There will also be a curator talk with Ryan Roa at 5 p.m. RSVP for the exhibit opening on Eventbrite.com.

As part of the annual Deering Spring Contemporary, Tension in 3 Dimensions offers visitors an opportunity to experience artworks converging on the exploration of gravity and lines in space as they relate to the natural and historic site.

Participating artists include Ryan Roa, Felecia Chizuko Carlisle, Felice Grodin, Adam Brent, Carlos Rigau, Kerry Phillips, Brookhart Jonquil and Karen Rifas.

Felice Grodin will be exhibiting The 9th Ecosystem in conjunction with the PAMM (Pérez Art Museum Miami) app, Jennifer Inacio the PAMM Assistant Curator, and Cuseum which provided the technology and augmented reality solutions. In addition, Felecia Chizuko Carlisle, in partnership with choreographer Catherine Annie Hollingsworth and NSL Danse Ensemble, will have a live performance at sunset.

Tension in 3 Dimensions will remain on display through June 15, 2019, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is free with Estate admission.
