Emerson Dorsch Gallery is proud to announce Elisabeth Condon’s Artist-in-Residence at the Joan Mitchell Center Residency, 2024.
Elisabeth Condon (b. Los Angeles, 1959) earned her BFA from Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design and MFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. A tenured professor at the University of South Florida for eleven years, she now lives and works in New York, NY. Condon is the recipient of a Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters & Sculptors Grant, Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant, and Florida Individual Artist Fellowship. Her paintings reside in the permanent collections of Hudson River Museum, Tampa Museum of Art, Perez Art Museum Miami, United States Embassy Beijing, and private collections throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Recent public art projects include the Judy Genshaft Honors College, a commission by Norte Maar for Brooklyn’s Highland Park, and an MTA Art & Design Percent for Art commission for the NYCT Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard Station in Queens.
