Please join us to celebrate Robert Thiele's solo show exhibition at Miami Dade College's Museum of Art + Design, opening Thursday, September 3rd. His exhibition, called UNTITLED (3 for 8), is an exhibition of sculptures and wall constructions by one of Miami's most influential artists, Robert Thiele. There's a quiet intensity that has marked Thiele's artwork since he first arrived in Miami in 1966, ditching his football career to become an art instructor at Miami Dade College, where he taught alongside painter Robert Huff, painter Salvatore La Rosa and the late sculptor Duane Hanson. UNTITLED (3 for 8) is organized by the Museum and curated by guest curator Tyler Emerson-Dorsch. The exhibition includes a fully illustrated 80-page catalogue with essays by Associate Curator, Wanda K. Texon and George S. Bolge, CEO, Museum of Art, Deland, Florida. A public book launch will be announced at a later date.
